Buffalo River 6 night trip

Class I. Clear flowing river. Great for fishing with beautiful rock beaches to camp on across from huge cliffs. Sun hats and sunscreen.

Saturday, June 11: 

Drive to  Gilbert ,  AR.   Meet and camp or rent a cabin in Gilbert that night.

The group that paddled the  Upper Buffalo  trip led by Buddy Wise the week before, will join the group in Gilbert.


Sunday, June 12: 

Put on the river at Gilbert. River Mile 99-RM 109.5.  Camp that night at RM 109.5 (Paddle 10.5 miles that day)


Monday, June 13: 

RM 109.5-RM 119 camping at Kimball Bluff and Water Creek

(Paddle 9.5 miles that day)


Tuesday, June 14:

(No paddling miles) RM 119

 Stay at Water Creek, relax, swim, fish and hike up the creek. 


Wednesday, June 15 

RM 119-RM 127 (Paddle 8 miles)

Stop at RM 123.5 and hike to Indian Rock House. Then paddle on to RM 127 to camp at Toney Bend.


Thursday, June 16: 

RM 127-RM 140 (Paddle 13 miles)

Passing Rush Landing and camping at Killingsworth Bluff near Cold Springs School House.


Friday, June 17: 

RM 140-RM 150 (Paddle 10 miles)


Saturday, June 18: 

RM 150-Buffalo City on the  White River  to take off and drive home. (Paddle 4 miles)
